the chip

the antenna

the power source .

the antenna  get signals from the RFID reader and then returns a response

antenna are designed in 2 fashions

A. straight antenna

B. coiled induction

the size of the antenna determines read range and frequency used to communicate

smaller size = lower frequency and less range

larger size = higher freqency and more range

X represents a plain antenna

@ represents a coiled inductor antenna
